Reason of building Rentolf
The reason of starting Rentolf is 10 years ago. Founder and his friends discussed about starting a business for the part time job. At beginning, they would like to rent out the VR devices to the borrowers. It is because VR is an expensive gadgets and innovative things. Afterwards, they try to expand the platform to rent everything to end consumer.
However, the expansion is too complicated and time-consuming. The team members would like to focus on their own life and give up the project. The idea of “rent everything” is unforgettable in the mindset of the Founder. This is the concept of Rentolf.
Our Story
Five years ago, the founder went Finland for his travelling. He prepared and spent a lot of travel gears for his first winter trip in Lapland. Thus, he bought a new backpack, suitcase, down jacket and the others. Of course, He really enjoyed the trip. Afterward, coming back to real life, he discovered that there is a lot of wasted gears stored at home. Moreover, some of gears are used only one or two times. It is really wasted whatever money and storage.
On top of that, he don’t want to sell the items because he will use the suitcase and backpack for the next trips. However, he want to settle the idle items. Thus, the ideal and concept of the “Rental Marketplace” is initiated. At the same time, he did some researches on the “Rental Market”. In conclusion, there is a lot of opportunities to rent something.
Afterward, he decided to build a platform to release the potential value of these items. Furthermore, he hopes everyone can consider the consequence of every purchase. Therefore, Rentolf is built and established on 2018 in Hong Kong. It is the rental platform to link up with the hosts and the consumers.
